Someone who is new to mountain biking. They may be learning basic skills, such as bike handling, braking, and navigating easy trails.

INTERMEDIATE

Riders at this level have developed fundamental skills and are comfortable on a variety of trails. They can handle moderate obstacles, such as small drops, roots, and rocks.

ADVANCED

Advanced riders tackle more technical terrain with confidence. They can handle larger drops, steep descents, tight switchbacks, and more challenging features like rock gardens and technical climbs.

EXPERT

Expert riders are highly skilled and can navigate extremely technical and challenging trails. They have mastered advanced techniques like bunny hops, manuals, and riding at high speeds through rough terrain.

PROFESSIONAL

Professional riders compete at the highest levels of the sport, participating in events such as World Cup races, freeride competitions, and endurance races. They possess exceptional skill, fitness, and experience.
